Merry Christmas, and Happy Hanukkah, Festivus, and Kwanzaa. We’re off for the rest of the week, but if we find some time to edit some posts in the queue, they’ll go up today and over the next few days.
Really, though, thanks for a great first week. I don’t think anyone here expected we’d be getting 1,000 views a day already! Please keep passing the word. We’ve got a lot of great ideas in store to distinguish us from other sites, not to mention our own take on the events of the day.
The BigLaw Layoff Tracker is already being well received and we’ll keep updating it. We can always use your help with the content, so send in any information to tips@lawshucks.com
The kind folks at Wikinvest have included us in the beta test of their newest product. It’s automated, up-to-date inline stock quotes and other information. So when we write about public companies, you’ll have access to live information. For example, we wrote an article about a Yahoo lawyer earlier this week – now you can (should be able to) see what’s left of the company’s market cap right in the content.
We’re also trying to figure out as much as we can about what you like based on clicks, so we can write more of that. Surprisingly (or not, I guess), the article about the former Skadden associate who modeled lingerie for her website was the big hit of the week (along with the Layoff Tracker). It’s a lot easier to write more of what you want if you just tell us, though, so please feel free to let us know directly.
