We missed the Playboy Playmate.
It won’t happen again.
Maria Checa, Playboy’s Miss August of 1994, was one of the “relief defendants” in the case. She is identified as a 38-year old model/actress currently resident in Greensboro, NC.

Checa was dating (or was the object of a crush from) Jamil Bouchareb, one of the indicted defendants who was a close friend of Matt Devlin. Checa traded through an aptly named LLC she set up: Playmate Capital and took an unspecified share of Bouchareb’s profits, which were close to a million dollars.

Checa starred in several Playboy films, including Lusty Latin Ladies (pictured), Hot Latin Ladies, Wet & Wild: Bottoms Up, and Sexy Lingerie VI, Dreams and Desires. Her sole mainstream credit is “From Dusk Till Dawn 2: Texas Blood Money,” with which Robert Rodriguez seems (thankfully) to have had nothing to do.
