More MSM Coverage of BigLaw Layoffs

morganlewisTime Magazine has a piece on BigLaw layoffs.  Mind you, it’s written for a mainstream audience, but it hits on the themes we and countless others have been addressing for a while now.

In addition to talking to the usual talking heads from conultancies, public interest, and career placement, they personalize the story with information about Juan Valdivieso.  Valdivieso is a Harvard student who summered at Morgan Lewis & Bockius.  Unfortunately, he was caught up in the firm’s mandatory deferral program, which means he won’t be starting at the firm at least until October 2009.

Most importantly, we’re cited as the source for the aggregate numbers.

"Time Magazine writes article on lawshucks" would be more accurate imo.
