We were going to write about the lawyers on the list of nominees for the Time 100 Most Influential People list.
But then we saw this TechCrunch piece diagramming how a website’s forum users completely hijacked the poll. The tallies have changed a little since the TechCrunch piece, but the hacker site’s founder, moot, is still #1 by a huge margin.
“Marble Cake” has three equally offensive definitions on the same disgusting theme, by the way.
After the jump, our half-assed (we’re still laughing at 4chan’s brilliance) culling of interesting people on the list.
Here’s TechCrunch’s capture of the ranking from Tuesday afternoon.
Based solely on the criterion that they’re of interest to BigLaw, we spotted:
Billionaire Mexican corporate raider Carlos Slim
Billionaire Russian corporate raider Alexander Lebedev
Sheikh Ahmed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, head of the Abu Dhabi SWF
Former Sidley summer associate Barack Obama
Billionaire Texan corporate raider T. Boone Pickens (or is it Oklahoma)
Pfizer CEO, and former Williams & Connolly partner and Brennan Clerk, Jeff Kindler
Anyone else?
