I was hit in the February layoffs and what I hear from people still there (not many who are Asian of course because they were decimated in February) is that it was probably better to get hit earlier and have already started the search for a new job because it has just been down hill all year. Morale is horrible; any statement the firm has ever made about "valuing people" seems to have been tossed out the window. The whole diversity thing is a joke. Friend of mine still there said one of the firm's "Diversity and Inclusion Partners" sent a "resignation announcement" around on behalf of the director of diversity about a week or two before layoffs... who apparently never resigned at all. There is a committee working on "restructuring" the talent management system which seems like an impossible task as "the talent" is being tossed out the door like yesterday's trash. Good luck to all my friends still hanging on there...

DLA is full of idiots. Their china offices were blowing money on full page ads on the back of useless magazines in China, huge billboards, setting up happy hours and parties, etc. etc. and hiring people left and right only to lay them off 6 months later. This is the worst disservice anyone could have done to associates. these assholes were recruited laterals only to then lay them off.

I don't know why the Beijing managing partner left to open up a new office in Quatar. he should have been demoted. what a crock of shit this place is.
