We’re on vacation this week.
We’ll be on an even-more-reduced than usual posting schedule until after Labor Day. That includes skipping This Week in Layoffs for the first time all year. The Month in Layoffs for August will come out after Labor Day, too (although it will be relatively uneventful anyway). We will be keeping an eye on comments and email, so feel free to reach out to us or start or join a conversation.
One “feature” we’ve added is that you now see a daily post of links. This is tentatively replacing the Quick Shucks posts we used to do, because this way saves us a ton of effort. It’s a relatively new feature of delicious, and what you’re seeing is an aggregated summary of our feed for the day. If you don’t want to wait, or you’re already active on delicious, you can go straight to our page and get the feed live at delicious.com/lawshucks.
Of course, there’s also our existing RSS feed and a lot of people use Twitter as a feed as well (@lawshucks).
This is all part of our goal for the site, which is to use technology to create a community and provide data and analysis on law firms.
We’re also looking for contributors – columnists, editors, contributors, designers, developers, all are welcome (and desperately needed)!
We’re not just sitting on our duffs this week. One new column has just begun, and there will be another episode this week (feel free to suggest a title for that, the crazy old coot didn’t provide any help on that front). We have another that will debut pretty soon. We also have been slowly rolling out some minor design tweaks (you’ve probably noticed the color scheme has been changing, and now we have an image in the header to make the brand a little more prominent).
We’ve also got some extremely cool features in development that are completely new and unique, so stay tuned.
