Not surprisingly, Microsoft ain't taking the judgment lying down. Two questions: is WGM doing this one for free, considering they're probably on the hook for the $40 million the judge tacked on for their "improper arguments"; and is the "goose-gander rule" codified anywhere?

Seven top corporate firms got together to write a letter opposing a shareholder rights bill (we wrote about it here http://lawshucks.com/2009/08/there-are-cliques-in-biglaw-too/), so the plaintiffs bar came back with their own crew of NINE. We've never heard of at least five of them.
