Wow, I find it hard to believe that any other sector (except, perhaps, auto manufacturing) could have laid off that many people.
Really, why? IBM, HP and AT&T all employ more people than any of the "Big Three" automakers. Plus, TechCrunch takes a pretty broad view of the tech industry, so it included, for example, a bunch of the law firms that we tracked.
