Two other Bobs

Dell is continuing its dealmaking ways, acquiring data-storage company 3Par for $1.1 billion by tender offer.  That price reflects a whopping 86.5% premium over Friday’s close.  This is the fourth major acquisition for the company in the past year.

Debevoise & Plimpton’s Jeffrey J. Rosen and Kevin A. Rinker represented Dell out of the New York office.  Update 8/16/10 @ 13:32: Debevoise added the following people to the roster: Jeffrey P. Cunard, Peter A. Furci, Jonathan F. Lewis and Daniel M. Abuhoff, counsel Stuart Hammer, Kyra Bromley and Carl Micarelli.

Wilson Sonsini had “Two Bobs” (and a Michael) (not pictured) lead the team for the target: Robert Latta and Robert Kornegay out of Palo Alto and Michael Ringler out of San Francisco. Update 8/16/10 @ 13:32: WSGR partner Ralph Barry was also involved
